Daily Devotional for Friday 22nd March
Too powerful not to share!
Now that the deed of betrayal was underway, and Judas Iscariot had left the others, Jesus gave the 11 disciples remaining a new commandment. In verse 34 Jesus says to them, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” And Jesus says that this is what will help people know, there’s that word know again, know that they are His disciples, if they love one another.
The same is true for us today. When we love one another like Jesus loves His own, including we who believe in Him today, the world sees something different. Something money can’t buy. Something that can’t be manufactured. A love so different that people are drawn to us and we can tell them it is because of Jesus. Jesus' love for them has power to change their hearts, just like He has ours.
Because Jesus loves us, no one and nothing can snatch us from His hand! Romans chapter 8 says this,
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ is too precious and too powerful not to share!

Dear Father God, thank you that nothing and no one can separate us from Your love because we belong to Jesus! We praise You for Your love, redeeming sacrifice, and the fact that You are the only true and living God, there is none other! We delight to belong to you! May we glorify You and Your Son Jesus today, in His name, Amen.
