There is something going on for everyone at the 10:30am Sunday morning service at St John’s!

Kids & Families

Our dedicated Kids Team at St John's, led by Kat (Children and Families Minister), plans, prepares and leads these groups. These amazing volunteers, who have undergone DBS checks, share a common passion for nurturing children's faith and helping them grow in their knowledge of God.

Every month, on the first Sunday, we all start together in the service. Then children aged 3-11 have a special gathering in the Upper Lounge. If you have children aged 3 and under, Sparkle is the group for you! In the Lower Lounge on the Stage area. On the other Sundays, we begin together in the main service and later divide into age-appropriate groups!

Sparkle

For those from birth until they turn 4. Sparkle takes place in the church lounge on the left. These sessions are made up of time to play, a story and a craft. We do ask that you stay with your child for this session, but we have a screen showing the service.

Ignite

For children aged 4 up to end of year 2. Ignite happens in the upstairs lounge where children engage with Bible stories through play, story-telling, crafts, games and songs.

Glow

For children in school years 3-6. Glow takes place in the Church Hall. We meet in the corridor between the main church and the lounge ready to walk to the hall together. Once there we chat, play games, pray, explore a Bible story and then discuss how it can relate to our lives.

The Youth

Young People

Jon Lake, our Youth Minister, leads the team who work with the youth at St John’s. They are excited to get to know everyone and see what God has in store for them!

The young people (those in secondary school) have a dedicated meeting place in the AJ Hall in the churchyard.

Pathfinders, their Sunday youth group, is on during the 10:30am service every Sunday.
