Electoral Roll Reset

Belong, Participate, Contribute

2025 is Reset Year for our Electoral Roll. Every 6 years (this year), the Electoral Roll is started over from scratch and each individual at St John’s is asked to fill in a new form.

If you worship regularly at St John’s Walmley, there are three reasons why you should put your name on the Church Electoral Roll:

• Electoral rolls provide a true indication of the real membership and strength of the Church, both locally and nationally. Putting your name on the roll is a way of saying “I belong”; it is an act of commitment to your local church and to the Church as a whole.

• Joining the electoral roll opens up the way for greater involvement in the life of the Church, at parish, deanery, diocesan and national levels. You become entitled to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.

• It is an important statement of witness, and step along the path of discipleship. With your name on the electoral roll the strength of the Church can be seen in our area, and across the country.

Electoral Roll Forms are available in the church lounge and from the office. Please fill in and return via the red box in the corridor or directly to the church office. Thanks!

To join St John’s Church electoral roll, you either need to be living within the Parish or have regularly attended worship at St John’s Walmley for six months or more. Joining the Electoral Roll is the way you become a Church of England member, listed as part of the St John’s Church Family. Once you have been on the Electoral Roll for a year, you can stand for PCC.
